LETTER FROM THE PHILIPPINES

January, 2016

From Pastor Ebenezer P. Nombre,
in the Philippines.

Dear brethren at Preachers’ Help,

Cordial Christian greetings from the Philippines!

I am the pastor of Bethel Congregational Church, a small Reformed Independent
Church based here in the island of Mindanao. We also run and operate a small Bible school known as Bethel Puritan Theological School.

We are respectfully using your lessons and subjects in our church, and in our Bible School. We are now in our ninth year as a church, and third year in our Bible School.

Please advise what are measures that we can use to help more pastors and preachers in the area?

Many thanks for reading this e-mail. More power to Preachers’ Help be with you all!

Sincerely in Christ,

Letter from Zimbabwe in January 2016

We celebrated after I received your e-mail, and shared it with all our PH students, as well as our PH board of trustees in Zimbabwe and Mozambique .

Dad everyone is fine and ok here, God is doing wonderful things, and the PH courses have been received by every church in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. God is enabling me to print more booklets of the courses from the income I am getting from the projects even though small; it’s enabling me to push on the PH work .

I did Shona, Ndebele, Zulu , Venda, Sutu and Portuguese translations, and they are already in circulation, and are well-received.

There is great need for more Bibles in Shona and English, which I believe our Lord Jesus will provide as we pray.

The political situation in Zimbabwe and Mozambique is tense, and causing a lot of people to suffer economically, with Zimbabwe struggling to pay IMF and World Bank debts. The price of basic commodities has risen by 100% and civil servants have had no pay since last year in October . There is a serious drought, and our crops have died up since there is no rain. All these, I believe, are as a result of sins. When we look back in the Bible, Israel suffered after they had sinned against God; so the situation is calling people to repent and be saved.

We have formed numerous PH prayer groups around Southern Africa who are praying 24/7. I must say, I am enjoying the work.

Iam happy that the Lord has saved the life of my brother Isaac Raj in India. May the good God continue to bless and protect him. Pass my greetings to Doctor Raj in India .

How is Innocent in Nigeria?

Pass our warmest greetings to the Free Evangelical church, PH trustees and the Elders, but special greetings to you and your family. How is Brother Jerry in the church? We love you all. My wife Simangaliso has joined in sending special greetings to you. Jacob and young Geoffrey here send you greetings, and Reuel again; all are fine .

Your Son in deep love,
Pastor SitutaMugaduyi
