On the 4th June, 2016, a special award was to made to Pastor Dr. Isaac Raj, on behalf of Preachers’ Help work in India, since 1999.
The documented presentation was given in Hyderabad by the Chairman of the National Council of Independent Churches, whose headquarters is in New Delhi. The award was entitled:
“FOR BEST SERVICE TO CHARITIES AND EDUCATION OF THE COMMUNITY”.
The award was also approved by the Indian Government, to which the courses and work of Preachers’ Help are very well-known.
Since 1999, when I first visited India, PH work has grown extensively throughout the subcontinent, and is active in some Bible Colleges, many hundreds of Churches, and numerous Pastors’ Study Groups in most Indian States (except, maybe, two). “At the present time”, says Dr. Raj, “there are about 40 000 clients studying our PH courses throughout India, and beyond in other Asian countries.”
This recognition by the National Council of Independent Churches is greatly appreciated, and is the first National Award ever given to PH in India.
Our most grateful thanks goes to Dr. Isaac Raj Alanka, whose extremely hard work has made the extension of PH work very real and practical in India over the years.
We give profound thanks to God for multiplying the PH work in India, whose courses go to more than 1½ million words, a massive task which has been taken on willingly by Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Stonier, and is supported actively by the members of the Free Evangelical Church, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, UK
